How and why it works

Using chilled, aerated, saline water maintained between two and four degrees, the Panama Spa helps to reduce swelling and encourage lower leg injuries and also hardens tendons and ligaments.  The saline water ensures that the wound is kept thoroughly clean and together with the oxygenating jets, increases blood circulation, which speeds tissue regrowth and reduces over-all healing time.

INJURY PREVENTION

Prevention is always better than cure.  By regular use of cold water therapy immediately after hard exercise, many of the stressors within tissues are removed before inflammation develops.  cold also significantly improves surface bone density,  reducing the opportunity for stress related injuries to commence.

Equissage Massage

What are the Benefits?

All horses can benefit from an equissage massage, this can range from the treasured family pony, to top quality competition horses competing in any sphere.

Used during training and pre and post competition, massage keeps muscles healthy, builds up those that may have wasted, maintains strength and suppleness and prevents atrophy (wasting) even during period of box rest or restricted work.  After exertion, massage minimises stiffness and speeds repair to tissue damaged as an inevitable result of physical stress and fatigue.  the Equissage massage  machine will increase and improve circulation, enhance muscle tone, relax muscle spasm, prevents and relieves adhesion's and increases the range of movement.

Massage can benefit the well being of the animal, release tension and aid mental relaxation.  In the event of an injury, massage is of great benefit to aid recovery and prevent atrophy (wasting) of muscles.  Massage also helps prevent injury.
